Challenge

Work were on a mission to develop a beautifully designed app that is intuitive, scalable and easy to use. In the health and fitness category alone, there are a multitude of existing apps that have been very successful. When developing concepts for the prospective app, it was important to ensure usability and ease of navigation were prioritised. By conducting market research, user journeys were easier to map out, improving the overall app experience.

Approach

Developing a vibrant colour palette that worked with different parts of the app was key to providing a consistent brand experience.

Retina ready

With the quality of screens continually improving, the design used a flat approach to compliment imagery style.

Minimal design

Without overusing shapes to draw the user to app navigation, subtle colour changes introduced more straightforward interaction.

Content rich

The design is geared towards displaying different types of content. From beautiful imagery to detailed statistics.

User focused

Designed with allowing the user to customise the experience, using a modular style to elements and UI components.

Result

This conceptual project produced strong layouts, focussing on usability and engaging interaction. The final render was put together into an app promo to showcase the campaign in it’s entirety.
